Africa Commissions

I was commissioned to paint four paintings of Africa from a recent safari that Doug Farquharson and his family took this past fall. Between Doug his wife Linda and his adult children I was given the most spectacular reference material to paint from. Some of the best time of this whole commission was seeing all of their pictures and experiencing some of the safari through their eyes. After much deliberation we finally chose these four images for the paintings. The paintings of the lions and elephants were surprise gifts to their children and the landscape was for their new home in Tulsa Oklahoma. Doug and Linda, I just want to thank you again for this opportunity to paint these for you and your family. It's been the best commission of my art carrier so far and resulted in some of my best work as well.

Governor's Invitational Art Show and Sale

These are all of my paintings for this years Governor's Art Show held in Loveland Colorado beginning April 24th 2010. My Client Doug Farquharson who I did a big commission for in December of 2009 has graciously allowed me to use some more of his reference of Africa as the theme for my work at this year's show. The painting entitled Sanctuary is the painting being published in the show's brochure.
A hearty thanks to Doug and Linda for this honor.
