I did a small study for this for my daily painting blog, but loved the image so much that I had to paint it large. This tree is so magnificent in the late day glow of light casting a long shadow beyond.

These are two paintings that I was commissioned to paint of these two wonderful Goldens as a Christmas surprise which was well received by their loving owners

Josie is a Portuguese Water Dog that I was commissioned to paint. She is 8 months old and full of life and enthusiasm. She was a challenge to photograph for the painting portrait as she had far more interesting things to look at besides the camera!

Rex was another fun dog portrait painting commission. He too was a challenge to photograph as the camera was interesting only for the first shot and I had to shoot a bunch more than one to get the right look. Thank heavens for the advent of the digital camera!
